La Ville de Montréal, in collaboration with the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec founded the François-Houdé Award (Prix François-Houdé) in 1996 and covers many types of art including jewelry.
The Award includes:
- $5000 prize for the winner
- exhibition of the works by winners and finalists
- the acquisition (by the City of Montreal) of chosen objects from the finalists
Amélie Lucier and Julien Mongeau (@A+J Métissage) won the François-Houdé Award this year (the results were announced on November, 26th).
Besides, pieces of art, including art jewelry by Montserrat Duran Muntadas, Maude Lauzière Dumas and others willbe presented at the exhibition (Exhibition Prix François-Houdé) from November 24th to February 18th.
