Location: La Guild, 1460, rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Suite B, Montreal
14.00 – 15.15
As part of the Prix François-Houdé 2016 Exhibition presented by the City of Montreal, the Guild, in collaboration with the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec, would like to invite you to four informal artist talks. The first one – come enjoy a unique experience and discuss with the glass artist Montserrat Duran Muntadas on her creative process, her artistic vision, or simply put, on what inspires her.
MONTSERRAT DURAN MUNTADAS
In 2004, Montserrat began her excursion into the world of glass at the Escola del Vidre in Barcelona and continued her studies at Real Fabrica de Vidrios de Segovia. Her work with hot glass brought her to create her own line of jewellery in 2008. The following year, she graduated in Fine Arts from Barcelona University. Ever since then, she has been pursuing her passion for art and glasswork, by making unique pieces and also installations. In 2012, she settles in Montreal and opens her workshop. Within the last few years, her creations have been exposed in Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Denmark, in the United Kingdom and in Canada.
